1. Information We Collect

ChefIO collects only the minimal information necessary to provide the recipe sharing service:

• Basic Account Information: Your name and email address when you create an account
• Recipe Content: Recipes and photos you choose to share
• Camera Access: Used only to take photos for your recipes (photos are not stored by us beyond what you choose to share)
• Notifications: Device notification tokens to send you app notifications (if you allow)

We do NOT collect: Location data, browsing history, contacts, personal files, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:

• Create and maintain your account (name and email)
• Enable you to share your recipes with others
• Send you notifications about the app (only if you allow notifications)
• Allow you to take photos for your recipes using camera access

We do NOT: Track your usage, analyze your behavior, or use your data for advertising.

3. App Permissions

ChefIO requests the following permissions:

• Camera: To take photos of your recipes. Photos are only used when you choose to share them.
• Notifications: To send you app updates and notifications (you can disable this anytime in settings).

We do not request or use any other device permissions.

4. Information Sharing

We do NOT sell, share, or rent your personal information to anyone. Your name, email, and recipes stay private except:

• Recipes you choose to share publicly in the app
• If required by law

5. Data Storage and Security

We store only your basic account information (name and email) and the recipes you choose to share. We use standard security measures to protect this minimal data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Update or correct your information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Opt-out of non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

ChefIO is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Third-Party Services

ChefIO does not integrate with third-party services or contain external links that collect your data.

9. Data Retention

We keep your account information only as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data anytime.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
